Some sessions just come together in a way that feels like magic — and this was one of those.

Avery and Bayla booked a shared senior session ahead of their open house, and everything about the evening couldn’t have been more perfect. From the weather to the light to the energy they brought, it all just worked.

We shot at a private location in Bargersville, Indiana, surrounded by open fields, rolling hills, tree lines, and little pockets of nature that gave us so much variety without ever needing to leave the area. It’s one of those places that feels quiet and tucked away — the kind of setting that lets the moment really breathe.

They both wore beautiful dresses that moved so effortlessly in the breeze, which paired perfectly with that soft golden hour light. The kind of light photographers dream about — warm, glowy, and just enough to give everything that cinematic feel.

One of my favorite moments from the entire session was when they found a dandelion and blew it into the air. It was such a small, simple moment, but the way it caught the light and floated through the frame made it feel almost unreal. Those are the kinds of images that end up meaning the most — the ones you don’t plan, but just happen.

This session was the perfect mix of posed and unposed — giving them a full gallery of images that feel both polished and natural. And shooting together made it even more fun, bringing out that genuine energy you can’t fake.
